OK, two questions: 1) Are you under 55 years of age? 2) Do you want to burn the C7 Stingray?
Chevy wants you to love the C7 Stingray - but only if you're too young to gain membership to AARP. Have they been successful in tearing you away from the likes of the 911 and R8?
From !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! :
"The Corvette has become known as an old man's toy. About 46 percent of Corvette buyers in 2012 through October were 55 or older compared with 22 percent of Audi R8 and 30 percent of Porsche 911 customers. The head of Chevy marketing, Chris Perry, acknowledges that too many people see it as the car of "the successful plumber." John Fitzpatrick, Corvette's marketing manager said "It's the old saying, 'Nobody wants to be seen driving an old man's car, but everybody wants to be seen driving a young man's car."
Damnnn. So, is Oppo young and hip enough for the new Corvette?

DD: C7 (lowest operating cost by far, removable glass roof, perhaps they've finally made the interior worth the price of the car)
Track: Lambo
Burn: 911 (jealous of the Boxster and Cayman that they actually have to cripple!)

As much as I like the Porsche, my list has to go like this:
DD: Corvette Stingray because that interior is just awesome, and it's hard to beat the sound of an angry V8
Track: Audi R8 Because of it's MR balance and monstrous levels of grip.
Burn: Porsche, I love it, but something has to go and the regular 911 to me, in this company just isn't that special.

Flip flop DD/Track between the 911 and C7, burn the shit out of the R8.

DD: C7 because 'Merica, freedums, 9/11, turrism, 9/11, freedums, 'Merica.
Track: 911 because... seriously, do I have to explain this shit to you?
Burn: R8 because being a freedom loving, terrorism hating 'Merican, Audis do nothing for me.

DD the Stingray, Track the 911, Burn the R8.
As much as I love the R8, it's technically my least favorite of the three.
Especially when you can get the Z51 package on the Stingray, and you can take the 911 to RUF or any similar company and get the 911 tuned up, possibly for less money than a stock R8 (if it does end up cheaper, the margin will likely be very slim).
Plus, the 911 and Stingray are both better on gas.

Excellent DD/track/burn.
All three of these are supposed to be very easy to live with as DD's, by sporty car standards anyway. However, as you've selected a 2wd 911, and the stingray's the fastest (and likely to have great aftermarket support)...
DD: R8. Reasonably reliable as quasi-supercars go, easy to handle (with some help of course from Quattro AWD), and haven't sat in one myself but probably a great interior.
Track: Stingray. I bet I still won't feel too terrible about gutting the interior for weight reduction :).
Burn: 911. If I actually had all three in my driveway of course I'd offer the wife the 911 (and she'd probably take it) so I may have a good backup plan for this.

I agree. The R8 does nothing for me. The C7 still has some old man image but stoplight drag fun all day = DD. Which leaves the 911 for track duty. Could easily be the other way though.

DD: Porsche, because dem MPGs and dat interior.
Track: Chevy, because no one cares about the interior in a track car and dat V8 rumble.
Burn: Audi, because Gallardo in a fat suit.

R8 just hasn't aged well. And the C7 image bothers me, but too much performance for too cheap to ignore.

I'm 26.
DD) 911.
Track) R8
Burn) the Vette.
Sorry, I'm still not over getting mistreated at the Chevy dealer. Both the Audi dealer and Porsche dealer near me are far more pleasant to deal with.
The one thing GM can't change about the Vette is the fact you are stuck with the GM dealer network.
